Share in some faith practices of worship together!
Shine a Light: Light a candle or find a flashlight. Take turns saying, “Jesus shows the way.”
Sing Together: “Do, Do, Do – Do To Others”
Do, do, do – Do to others. Do, do, do – Do to others. Do, do, do – Do to others. As you would have them do to you.
Make an Offering: Put an offering in your Lenten “Piggy” Bank or share an offering another way.
Read the Bible Together
Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for your child’s age.

Talk About It!
Have fun asking question for all your family members!
It’s a new season in the church: Lent! Yay Lent! This season is 40 days leading up to Holy Week. During this time we focus on our faith, prayer and giving.
In the bible reading this week, Jesus is asked a question about what does cost to be one of His followers, He told the rich man to give away everything he owns and follow Him. How did that make the rich man feel? That’s right sad. How would that make you feel. I know it would make me feel sad. Well the good news is Jesus is simply asking us to be generous, willing to share whenever needed. What’s something that is easy to share? What’s something that is hard? Talk about something each of you could work on sharing during this Lenten season.
Dig Deeper: Discuss these statements with your family. Do you agree or disagree?
1.) We don’t need to help people if we are super busy.
2.) If you are too afraid to help someone, you can ask a grown-up to help.
3.) Anyone can practice acts of kindness.
Family Activity Choices
Pick activities to do together!
Activity 1: Through the Eye of the Needle Game – use a hula hoop and take turns stepping through it. Find ways to make it a little harder each time. Each time you make it through, say something you like to share.
Activity 2: Sew What – Get out a sewing kit and work together to make some stitches. As you push the needle down, say something you are blessed with. As you pull the needle up, say a way you can share that blessing.
Pray Together
Pray the Lord’s Prayer together!
Bless Each Other
At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.
Give each a fist bump and say “You’re good at sharing!”
