Summer Family Faith Formation – June 27
Join us each week as a family to celebrate the fun of summer with some of the BIG stories of the Bible!
Pick from watching our Welcome Videos, Worship Together, Reading the Bible, Talk About It, Family Activities, Pray Together and Bless Each Other – or do them all!
Welcome Videos
Start by picking a Welcome Video from Miss Karla for Grades 1-4
or Miss Renee for littles-Kindergartners or watch both!
Worship Together
Share in some faith practices of worship together!
Shine a Light: Light a candle or find a flashlight to remind yourselves that Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus is with you, and Jesus is in you. Let your light shine!
Sing Together: “We Love Because God First Loved Us”
Make an Offering: How can you be an offering this week?
Read the Bible Together
Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for you child’s age.
Watch the Holy Moly Video: The Holy Moly videos series from Spark takes the essentials of the Bible story, adds a bit of humor, and subtracts a bit of the scariness. The result is a video suitable for all ages. Enjoy today’s unique re-telling of Naomi & Ruth’s story.
Talk About It!
Have fun asking question for all your family members!
What does your family look like? Every family is unique and perfectly normal because we all brought together by God’s love!
In our story today, Naomi & Ruth make a unique family but because they are brought together by God’s love, it’s perfectly normal. Is it easy to follow those in your family? Ask if anyone in your family followed God leading them somewhere unexpected. Ask if having the love of your family made it easier.
Dig Deeper: This past week we celebrated Pride week at Nativity. Have a talk about what that means as a family. And don’t forget, we love because God first loved us, so whomever is in our lives to love is perfectly normal and perfectly family. Click Here to check out some of the great resources available.
Family Activity Choices
Pick activities to do together! Supplies are provided in our Monthly At-Home Kits you picked up at our drive thru events or ask to have delivered to your home.
Where You Go I Go game: Make an obstacle course, indoors or outdoor. Let the youngest in your family go first at setting it up, then have them lead you through it. Go up by age order and let everyone have a turn.
Family Reading: Pick a favorite book about family to read together. Or try some poetry: I Carry Your Heart by E.E. Cummings is one of my favorites
Pray Together
“Dear God, thank you for Your love and thank you for those you’ve given me to love! Amen.”
Bless Each Other
At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.
Hold hands and say “where you go I’ll go!”
