Youth & Family Pride Week June 21-25, 2021

This week is an online & in-person inter-generational event aimed at sharing stories, building community, and equipping our congregation to better meet the needs of and truly celebrate our LGBTQ+ youth & families and learn to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.  See the schedule below for the week:

Monday- RIC Partner Stories (Online)  Many Reconciling in Christ (RIC) partners can be found walking in PRIDE parades, setting up booths for fairs, or simply making their spaces open for the public to use in LGBTQIA+ celebrations during PRIDE. Hear from partner congregations from around the ELCA about their journey in becoming an RIC Congregation. Click Their Links Below:

Tuesday – Meet LGBTQIA+ Ministry Leaders (Online)  Join us online throughout the day with special guests who will be sharing their journeys and wisdom.

Wednesday- Coming Out As A Supporter (In-Person) Youth & Families join us in the Parking Lot as we meet the Nativity RIC Team & their work, listen to a special guest who will share about what it means to be a supporter of LGBTQIA + Youth & Families, Make your own Nativity Pride T-Shirt and stay for Smore’s of God’s Love (Campfire and Conversation).

Who? Grades 7-12 & Families

When? Wednesday June 23rd, 6:30 PM

Where? Nativity Church, North Parking lot (next to Fellowship Hall)

Cost? NONE 🙂 Just show up!

Thursday- LGBTQIA + Youth Support & Resource Day (Online) – There are many resources locally and nationally to support LGBTQIA + Youth and their families.  We will be sharing resources throughout the day.

Friday- Pride Week Celebration (Online)- Our week comes to a close as we listen to a Pride message from Bishop Kevin Strickland – Southeastern Synod
