We’re pleased to announce that Nativity has become a collaborative member of Beacon Interfaith Housing organization. At their July meeting, the Nativity Church Council voted to become a Beacon collaborative congregation. Nativity is joining with over 100 other faith communities in Minnesota to address the affordable housing and homeless problem in Minnesota. By becoming a Beacon collaborative congregation, Nativity is expanding its work to address homelessness.
There will be information tables in the Commons during the remaining weekends of August before and after worship. The weekend of August 27-28, during the worship hours, a short presentation will share more information about Beacon and ways to participate in this new partnership from some of the people at Nativity who have supported Beacon this past year. Look for additional information in the coming months as Nativity becomes more involved in Beacon initiatives.
