Christmas Outreach Thank You

Nativity, you have done it once again! You opened your hearts this Christmas season to Metro youth who are homeless and gave $7,690 to the Lutheran Social Service’s Metro Homeless Youth service.

The LSS Circle, which has sponsored this effort, wants to express their deepest gratitude from the bottom of our hearts for your continued generosity to this yearly Outreach Project. We are so blessed to have such a “giving” congregation. In addition, seventy-two warm and beautiful hats knitted by Rose Weyhmann were donated. (Rose, a big thank you from the youth as well as from the LSS Circle.)

Jen Fairbourne, the LSS Director of the Metro Homeless Youth service, has shared that the youth so appreciate our brightening the Christmas season for them and are full of gratitude that people who do not even know them are thinking of them and that they are not alone. Jen’s program staff will purchase what the youth specifically need and also provide special treats and goodies for a Christmas celebration.

Thank you for the continued support of this project. The LSS Circle could not do this without you. Merry Christmas! – Marcy Sorensen & Mary Peterson, LSS Circle Co-Chairs of the LSS Christmas Outreach Project for Homeless Youth
