David Livingston is retiring after 40 years of church music ministry, the last 25 years of his ministry at Nativity. We are honoring David’s ministry and his decision to retire with a Welcome to Retirement Weekend August 28-29, 2021.

David writes,

I have decided to retire from my position as Director of Music Ministries at Nativity. I’ve had 25 wonderful years making music with and for the Nativity community. I treasure the beauty and meaning we have shared through music and language. Members of the congregation became “music ministers” for the larger church. The dedication of the singers and players was inspiring. This is the vision of music ministry that I embrace.

I will be forever grateful for the privilege of being part of such a vibrant and varied music ministry.

Gratefully,

David Livingston

Welcome to Retirement Weekend will give thanks to God for 25 years of music together, highlighting the delights of music over the years as well as memorable events in David’s music ministry. The congregation will offer David a retirement blessing at all worship hours and David will offer Nativity and our new director his blessing.
