Why Bike 120 Miles?

May

My name is Joe Williams, and on June 4-5, I will be riding in the 24th Annual Luther Park Bike-a-Thon. I am thrilled to be participating in this event. Every year, cyclists from local churches ride to provide scholarships for kids to experience Luther Park’s life-changing ministry. Cyclists raise money and then ride 120 miles to Luther Park Camp in Danbury, WI, to hand deliver what they have collected.

I grew up cycling long distances with my family. This ride gives me an opportunity to use my God-given gifts to support our community of faith through our mission partnership with Luther Park. Nativity’s youth have been attending Luther Park Camp for over 40 years. My wife Becca and I plan to send our three children there one day. We strongly believe that a church camp experience can provide inspirational faith journey direction in the lives of young people.

To learn more about my journey, please visit me at my table in the Nativity Commons before and after worship on May 14-15, or send an email to leah@nativitychurch.org.
