We want to welcome Joanna Hallstrom and Jen Wannen as Nativity’s new Communication Coordinators. This weekend we’re happy to introduce them at each worship hour and hear the stories behind their service to Nativity.
Jen Wannen comes to the communications role with a background in writing for business. She brings experience in editorial management, web and print publications, content marketing, and social media. Her focus on the communications team will be managing website updates and coordinating the weekly e-news as well as editing print and digital publications.
Jen and her husband, Scott, joined Nativity in 2019. She is also a spiritual director and has helped lead a collaborative meditation series with the other spiritual directors at Nativity. In her free time, she enjoys reading, photography, and hiking. She and her husband live in Saint Anthony with their four children and three dogs.
Joanna Hallstrom comes to Nativity with previous experience in church communications and has a freelance illustration and design business. Her focus on the communications team will be creating visual content for weekly print and digital needs as well as providing graphics for special all church events and initiatives.
When she is not on her laptop designing, she is in her Minneapolis art studio painting portraits and illustrating. In 2019, Nativity hosted her portrait project called 2065, which was recently on display at the MSP International Airport for six months.
Joanna lives in South Minneapolis with her husband Pete, their two teenage kids, and a very large goldendoodle named Rubi.
