Welcome Video

Worship Together

Share in some faith practices of worship together!

Shine a Light: Light a candle or find a flashlight. Take turns saying, “Jesus’ light shines in me.”

Sing Together:  I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy Down In My Heart

Make an Offering: How can you give an offering today? It could be time, talent, or treasure!

Read the Bible Together

Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for you child’s age.

Spark Story Bible Fruit of the Spirit or John 14:25-27

Talk About It!

Have fun asking question for all your family members!

Today we are focusing on the third fruit of the spirit which is peace. What does peace mean to you? What things or activities bring you peace? What are some ways we can help create a peaceful community? Peace means many things. It doesn’t always mean quiet.

Dig Deeper: Read the short poem Peace Partner by Lori Hetteen.

“You keep pairing me with quiet,” Peace said, “but my true companion is the mighty clamor of chains being ripped clean from the wall.”

What does clamor mean? Is that a word you usually associate with peace? What are the chains the poet is referring to? Do you prefer “peace and quiet” or “peace and justice?”

Family Activity Choices

Pick activities to do together with supplies you have around your house!

Activity 1: Love, Joy, and Peace Charades If we think about peace being paired with quiet, what better game to play than charades? Act out a scene showing love, joy, or peace, and have others guess which of these three fruits of the spirit you are demonstrating.

Activity 2: Dove/Peace Foldable Craft Go to the Proud to Be Primary website and download this free craft https://proudtobeprimary.com/dove-peace-foldable-writing-craft/ OR draw and decorate a peace sign.

Pray Together

“Dear Lord, we thank you for your fruits like bananas and cherries. We thank you for your fruits of the spirit like love, joy, and peace. Help us to find peace in ourselves and to create peaceful communities. Amen.”

Bless Each Other

At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.

Give each other a gentle pinch and says, “You’re super fruity!”
