Welcome Video

Worship Together

Share in some faith practices of worship together!

Shine a Light: Turn on a book light or reading lamp and say, “Jesus is the light of the world!”

Giving Thanks: What are 3 things you are thankful for today?

Sing: I Will Pray and God Will Answer, Sometimes God answers (Yes, No, Wait) to the tune Battle Hymn of the Republic (Glory, glory, hallelujah)

Offering: How can you make an offering today?

Read the Bible Together

Click, Clack, Moo by Doreen Cronin
and Matthew 7:7-11
(watch Leah’s video and/or read your own copy)

Talk About It!

Talk About It: The cows have something that they need, so they ask Farmer Brown to provide for them. When you need something, who do you ask? What do the cows want? What does Farmer Brown think about their request? What do the cows do when they don’t get their way? What does the Bible say God will do if you ask for something? Does God always say “yes”?

Dig Deeper: First, let’s talk a little bit about how the characters in the book are like us. How can people be like the cows, chickens, and ducks in the story? Are the cows, chickens, and ducks asking for something good that they need? Do they trust the farmer? Do you think God is like Farmer Brown? Why or why not?

Finally, let’s talk about asking, seeking, and knocking! How can we ask God for what we need? Do you think God should give you everything that you ask for? How can we respond when we don’t think God is answering our prayers?

Family Activity Choices

Pick activities to do together! Supplies are provided in our Monthly At-Home Kits you picked up at our drive thru events or ask to have delivered to your home.

Activity 1: Type it Using your laptop, tablet, or phone, help your child find the letters “A-S-K” (ask, seek, knock) on the keyboard. Watch their eyes light up as they type God’s message and see it appear on the screen. If your child is older, have them type “Ask, Seek, Knock” or even the whole Bible verse. See how fast they can do it. See how fast you can do it!

Activity 2: Cow Craft For detailed instructions, please visit https://theeducatorsspinonit.com/click-clack-moo-activity-shapes/. You can draw your own cow, or print the template provided. Then cut rectangles and fold to make blankets for the cow! Write the letters “A-S-K” on the blanket, and talk about what “A-S-K” stands for.

Pray Together

Loving God, you know just what we need. Thank you for taking care of us. Amen.“

Bless Each Other

At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.

Say “thank you for helping me get what I need” and respond “MOO!”
