Welcome Video

Worship Together

Share in some faith practices of worship together!

Shine a Light: Light a candle or find a flashlight. Take turns saying, “Jesus’ light shines in me.”

Sing Together:  Sing or say: Love, Joy, Peace and Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, too. Gentleness and Self-Control, these are gifts God offers to you!

Make an Offering: How can you give an offering today? It could be time, talent, or treasure!

Read the Bible Together

Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for you child’s age.

Psalm 117 (aka “The Shortest Psalm”) King David, the author of the Psalms, often praises God’s love and faithfulness. At other points in the book of Psalms, David says the faithfulness of God reaches to the skies.

Talk About It!

Have fun asking question for all your family members!

Today we are focusing on the seventh fruit of the spirit, which is faithfulness. What does it mean to be faithful? Loyal, loving, trustworthy, always there for you. Can you think of some word pairs with faithful? Examples: faithful friend, faithful God, faithful servant, faithful dog. Who do you think is the most faithful of all?

Dig Deeper: Have you ever wondered why dogs are so loyal? Humans and dogs have been living in harmony for over 13,000 years. Dogs rely on us for food, water, shelter and love. In turn they offer love and protection. How is this similar to our relationship with God? How is it different? Research some stories about amazing faithful dogs like Balto, Hachiko, Bobbie the Wonder Dog, and Capitan.

Family Activity Choices

Pick activities to do together with supplies you have around your house!

Activity 1: Hand Jive to a silly song Grown-ups might remember this pattern from the movie Grease. Pat/pat, clap/clap, zig-zag hands/zig-zag hands, pound fist/pound fist, right thumb/left thumb. You can use this same pattern to a lot of songs, but here’s a fun “Fruit of the Spirit” song. Fruit of the Spirit song

Activity 2: Faithful Dog Corner Bookmark Dogs are sometimes called “man’s best friend” because they are faithful, loyal, loving companions. You can make this adorable craft with a square piece of paper, scissors, marker, and a little glue if you’d like to add a tongue and a tail.Easy emoji Puppy, Dog Bookmark DIY – Woof Woof! Pray Together

“Dear Lord, we thank you for your fruits like figs and farkleberries. We thank you for your fruits of the spirit like faithfulness. You are always faithful to us. Help us be faithful to you. Amen.”

Bless Each Other

At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.

Give each other a gentle pinch and says, “You’re super fruity!”
