Share in some faith practices of worship together!
Shine a Light: Make a light (candle, flashlight, light switch) and say, “Jesus is the light of the world!”
Sing Together: (Say or sing along with the video.) The cross is not the end. The cross is not the end. A brighter day will come my friend. The cross is not the end.
Make an Offering: How can you make an offering today? (April is care for the earth/environment month.)

Talk About It!
Jesus was alive! His friends had a hard time believing that Jesus could be alive again after they saw him die on the cross. Do you think you could believe in something that seemed impossible? After Jesus visited them and talked to them, they believed and they were so happy! After Jesus stayed with them a little while, he said to them, “Go into all the world. Preach the good news to everyone.” Then he went back to heaven. That is still our job today! To tell about the good news of Jesus by sharing love and caring for all people.
Digging Deeper (great topics for Upper Elementary): Some of the symbols of Easter are a butterfly, eggs, bunnies and chicks. Talk with someone and share how you think these items represent new life.
Family Activity Choices
Pick activities to do together! Supplies are provided in our Monthly At-Home Kits you picked up at our drive thru events or ask to have delivered to your home.
Activity 1: Signs of New Life: Make a cross. Then decorate it with symbols of new life!
Activity 2: Bunnies and Butterflies: Set up an obstacle course. Hop and fly to all the different stops and share the good news that we learned from Jesus. On one stop, thank Jesus for love, at the next stop, thank Jesus for forgiveness, then hope, then joy, then the bible, then family and friends!
Pray Together
“Dear God, thank you for Easter. Thank you for new life and making the impossible, possible. Thank you for sharing your love with us and help us to share your good news with others. Amen.“
Bless Each Other
At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.
Say “He is Risen!” And reply “He is risen indeed! Alleluia!”
