Welcome Video

This blast from the past (April 2020!) is way too cute to not replay this week!

Worship Together

Share in some faith practices of worship together!

Shine a Light: Light a candle or find a flashlight. Take turns saying, “Jesus’ light shines in me.”

Sing Together:  He’s got the whole world in our hands
He’s got the trees and the rivers in our hands
He’s got the [name 2 animals] in our hands

Make an Offering: How can you give an offering today?

Read the Bible Together

Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for you child’s age.

Matthew 16-20 / Spark Story Bible The Great Commission

Have a movie party watch Squiggles in “The Sparkhouse Story of Easter”
Rent the full movie HERE (it’s $3 to rent, email me if you’d like help getting it)

Talk About It!

Have fun asking question for all your family members!

Christ is risen. He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Did you have fun celebrating Easter? Do you have any candy left in your basket? Got any M&Ms? As you hold these candies in your hand and turn them you will see, the “M” becomes a “W”, an “E”, and then a “3”. They tell a little story to remind us of the joys of Easter:
“E” is for Easter Sunday, the celebration that Jesus lives.
“M” is for the mercy and miracles that He freely gives.
“3” is to remind us that he rose on the third day.
“W” because we worship Him and it’s in His name we pray.

In our story today, the risen Jesus asks His disciples to go and share God’s love to all corners of earth. Do you think they did it? That’s right they did! How do we know? Because we know about Jesus 2000 years later. Do you think you can do it, share God’s love everywhere? That’s right you can! Because you already do. Every time you help someone, every time you offer a hug, every time you speak up for what’s right, you are sharing God’s love. Keep it up!

Dig Deeper: When Jesus sent His followers out into the world to make disciples, the most common mode of transportation was by donkey or camel. A donkey caravan could travel about 20 miles a day. Camel caravans could cover 18-25 miles per day. How long would it take to get to some common places your travel if you were to go by donkey or camel?

Family Activity Choices

Pick activities to do together with supplies you have around your house!

Activity 1: Practice sharing God’s love and Jesus’ peace by texting a video of “passing the peace” to family or friends.

Activity 2: Play “Jesus Says GO”. Take turns playing Jesus and tell other Jesus say GO fast, Jesus say GO hop, etc

Pray Together

Jesus, give us strength and encouragement as we tell people we meet about you and your love for them. Amen.

Bless Each Other

At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.

Say to each other “Christ is risen. He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
