Nativity is offering an opportunity to participate in the Sacred Tour of the Twin Cities on September 28 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The tour will be led by Pastor Jim Bear Jacobs and Nativity’s own Dr. Kelly Sherman-Conway. The Sacred Sites Tour is part of the Minnesota Stories’ effort to create greater awareness and understanding of the Dakota people, the original people of this area who too often are invisible in their homeland.
The tour visits three sacred sites and, through storytelling and reflection, shares information on Dakota history and culture as well as the oppression, genocide and exile faced by the Dakota people. Times for silence and meditation are included. Please Note: The tour is for adults and youth high school age or older.
