Nativity,
I have served our congregation as an associate pastor for seven years. Something typically happens with associates, we eventually get called by another church to become their next senior pastor. Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale has called me to be their next senior pastor.
Their plans and aspirations as a congregation appear to match my interests and passions as a pastor. I’m excited by this opportunity and believe this call has been spirit-led. However, I’m leaving Nativity with a heavy heart because I’ll miss you.
The people of Nativity have encouraged and affirmed me during my path toward ordination. My call to this congregation was a gift and our ministry together has been a gift. Your individual stories have moved me to know Christ more deeply and proclaim Christ more confidently. Nativity will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I have ended my summer sabbatical to assist with transition and to say goodbye. My last weekend at Nativity will be August 26 & 27.
Thank you for the countless ways you have been a blessing to me.
