“Our Prayers Heard ‘Round the World” Worship & Panel

October 23, 5:00-6:30 pm | Nativity

For this year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the World Council of Churches asked the Minnesota Council of Churches to create the 2023 theme and materials to give Christian communities across the world an opportunity to contemplate ways they may be complicit in racial injustice and to move churches towards justice through reconciliation and unity. A majority-BIPOC team of Protestant and Catholic faith leaders was organized to design a worship service and a week’s worth of prayerful reflections.

Join us on October 23 to experience a part of the 2023 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity liturgy, and learn from people around the world what impact celebrating the Week of Prayer had on them. We’ll also hear from Minnesota’s BIPOC faith leaders who designed the liturgy as they reflect on processing their experiences into liturgical form and stewarding them through global lenses.

A reception will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by worship at 5:30 and a reflection panel at 6:00 pm. For more information, email Dr. Kelly Sherman-Conroy at Kelly@NativityChurch.org.
