On May 4, the Minneapolis Area Synod elected a new bishop: Rev. Jen Nagel, pastor at University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis. In attendance from Nativity were Pastor Glenn, Deacon Kyle, Pastor Angela LaMoore, Julie Chattopadhyay, Grace Gee, and Karen Volker. Pastor Nagel’s six-year term will begin on August 1. Her installation is scheduled for Sept. 21.
We offer gratitude to Bishop Ann Svennungsen, who will complete her term at the end of July. She was first elected in 2012 and reelected in 2018.
