Worship Together

Share in some faith practices of worship together!

Shine a Light: Turn on a lamp or flick on a light switch and say “Let there be light! And God said it was good!”

Sing Together: “My God is so great, so strong and so mighty there’s nothing my God cannot do!
The mountains are his, the rivers are his, the stars are his handiwork too. My God is so great, so strong and so mighty there’s nothing my God cannot do!

Make an Offering: How can you be an offering this week?

Read the Bible Together

Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for you child’s age.

Spark Story Bible “The Burning Bush” pg 74
Exodus 3:1-15

Talk About It!

Have fun asking question for all your family members!

Have you ever seen something unusual? Something that made you go WOW or huh? I think of things like when it’s raining and sunny at the same time or maybe the time I saw a white alligator at a zoo.

In our story today we meet Moses and he sees something quite unusual off in the distance. Do you member what that unusual thing was? Like anyone us would probably do, he went to check it out. When he got there he hear God speaking to him. Now I don’t think any of us have had quite that same experience but I bet when you’ve noticed something unusual before it was memorable. That is just another way God talks to us. He gives us moments to see things in a new way, to learn something or simply just to have fun. So next time you see something unusual, wonder what it is God is trying to say to you in that moment, I bet it will be really special!

Dig Deeper: In our story Moses asks God what is name is. He replies “I AM that I AM”, which in it’s original language translates to “Yahweh” (pronounced yah-way). Since then there are many names and titles given to God. Make a list of names you know and talk about why you think that’s a good name to call Him.

Family Activity Choices

Pick activities to do together! Supplies are provided in our Monthly At-Home Kits you picked up at our drive thru events or ask to have delivered to your home.

Activity: Burning Bush Craft! Go outside and collect a bunch of leaves in different colors. Then draw the branches of a bush on a piece of paper or download one HERE: Burning Bush Outline. Then attach the leaves with a glue stick to look like fire. For each leaf, say a way God has blessed you.

Activity: The Story of Moses! Rake up some more leaves and act out the whole story of Moses with the script HERE: Moses Leaf Pile

Pray Together

Dear God, thank you speaking to us even in unusual way. Help us to have eyes to see, ears to hear, minds to remember and hearts to reflect Your words. Amen.

Bless Each Other

At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.

Wiggle your fingers like fire and say in your best God voice “God will always be with you!”
