The Nativity Homeless and REJM teams took part in this month’s Week of Action to support the Bring it Home, MN bill. Nativity members met with State Senators and Representatives, including State Senator Mary Kunesh on February 15. They discussed homelessness in Minnesota and shared how the Bring it Home, MN bill would assure families don’t have to pay more than 30% of their income to keep a roof over their head.
Senator Kunesh is supportive of anything that would help deal with the housing crisis in Minnesota and promised to connect with other legislators to pass some state relief for the affordable housing and homeless crisis.
