Sing Together: It’s Good To Give Thanks To the Lord

Read the Bible Together

Read this week’s God’s Great Story in the children’s Bible for you child’s age.

Frolic Book – Thank You, God! (Let us know if you need a copy)

Talk About It!

Have fun asking question for all your family members!

When do you say “thank you”? How often do you think you say it everyday?

Thanksgiving is so fun because it’s a whole day to celebrate being thankful! In our book “Thank You God,” it shows so many blessings we have. And the fun thing it shows how each blessing brings another blessing, like rain bring rainbows and rainbows reminds of God’s forever love. And that’s the real joy of God’s love for us, that He blesses us in ways that are never ending. What a great reason to celebrate today!

Dig Deeper: What are different ways you know how to say “thank you”? Look up how to say it in other languages and try them out today.

Family Activity

Pick activities to do together! Supplies are provided in our Monthly At-Home Kits you picked up at our drive thru events or ask to have delivered to your home.

Activity 1: Give Thanks Rainbow: use a color cube or anything colorful and let each member pick a color and then list things you are thankful for that are that color.

Activity 2:Gratitude Scavenger Hunt: Print off the attached pdf or create your own Gratitude Scavenger Hunt. Walk around your house and neighborhood and snap some pics of things you are grateful for. Some ideas: Find something that you love in your room. Find something that you are grateful for in nature. Find something that has an enjoyable smell. Find something that makes a beautiful sound. Find something that entertains you.

Pray Together

“Dear God, thank you for thankful hearts! Help me to see all the blessings around me and never let me stop saying thank you. I love you God, amen!”

Bless Each Other

At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.

Give each other a HUGE hug and say “I’m thankful for you!”
