Throughout June we continue to enjoy worship, music, and preaching that lift up the ongoing work of welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy for our LGBTQIA+ siblings in Christ. Be sure to visit the Pride Outreach table for literature, lawn signs, and more! Also, don’t forget to check out LGBTQIA+ books from Nativity’s Advocacy Library. There’s something for all ages!
Highlights & Gratitudes This Pride Outreach Month
The Pride Outreach Team shares gratitude for everyone who wrote advocacy letters last week and/or joined the Jam for Gender Justice on June 3! This week we mailed 40 letters (and some beautiful coloring pages) to elected officials to support the rights of our LGBTQIA+ siblings. We also thank M.T. Pockets & Loose Change for sharing their uplifting music in worship last weekend!
On Wednesday, June 3, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening for the Jam for Gender Justice! Well over 500 people from Nativity and the greater community came together at Silverwood Park to enjoy amazing music along with great food and creative vendors. Generous freewill donations went to the Gender Justice organization, whose mission is to dismantle the legal, political, and structural barriers to gender equity. Thank you to Hayden Grooms for taking photos at the event.
