It was a busy Summer Stretch week with 68 middle school youth participating this year!
Together they packed over 5000 backpacks full of school supplies for the Kids in Need Foundation. They organized donated medical supplies that will be sent all over the world through Global Health Ministries. The group did a double packing shift at Feed My Starving Children, filling 363 boxes (that’s 10 pallets)! They also packed 150 snack packs for the Little Kitchen Food Bank and made 400 sandwiches that were delivered to Groverland Food Bank through the Sandwich Project. Additionally, they made pet blankets & cat toys for the Animal Humane Society, wrote letters for Bread for the World, helped spread mulch & weeded around Nativity, and even had extra time to go weed at the Middle School.
Everyone ended the week with a well-earned day of fun at Valleyfair!
