It was a celebration of community at Redeemer Lutheran Church’s Annual Block Party on August 13th. Several volunteers from Nativity served alongside Redeemer and other partner congregations to feed more than 300 people attending the event. Gathered in the green space behind the church, guests enjoyed grilled burgers and hot dogs, tasty sides, and homemade fire-baked pizza.
Guests enjoyed entertainment provided by Redeemer’s Praise Band and a dance performance by Nuestra Lucha MN. Kids played Big Jenga and Bag Toss and then hopped the evening away in the fire-engine themed bouncy house! Thank you to all who turned out for the event to volunteer and share God’s love with community.
A big thanks, also, to everyone who generously contributed to the backpack drive for the Redeemer event. Nativity was able to provide 78 backpacks for young ones preparing to return to school!
