On December 29, Beacon’s first residents started moving into Bimosedaa-48, new supportive homes in downtown Minneapolis. Many of these residents have experienced extended periods of homelessness. To support them, Beacon is asking for donations to help them get set up in their new homes.
A donation bin will be set up in the Welcome Desk area January 26 to February 11. All items should be new. Donations can be made as individual items or assembled into a move-in kit with items in a laundry basket.
Items Needed:
- Bed Pillows
- Extra-Long Twin Size Sheets & Comforters
- Cleaning Items (Paper Towels, Dish Soap, Sponges, Cleaners, Toilet Brushes & Plungers)
- Kitchen Items (Cooking Pots & Utensils, Plates, Cups, Silverware, Can Openers)
- Target Gift Cards
