Collaborative Donation Drive with All Nations Indian Church & Redeemer Lutheran Church
All Month Long
NEEDS INCLUDE: diapers, baby wipes, stainless steel thermoses, granola bars, fruit bars, trail mixes, Ramen cups or handheld soups, prepacked oatmeal or small individual cereal packs, hand and foot warmers, and thick, warm socks (all genders)
Nativity, with the help of our REJM Outreach, is deepening our existing relationships with churches whose worshipping communities are predominantly people of color by partnering with them to serve their extended communities. They are sourcing these items explicitly based on what people in their church communities are searching for. We are happy to support them in these efforts.
A Case for Love Screening with Light Lunch
February 23, 12:00 pm | Fellowship Hall
The feature-length documentary examines the question of whether or not love, specifically—unselfish—love, is the solution to the extreme societal and political divide facing the world.
Embodied Racial Healing Workshop
February 27, 6:30-8:30 pm | Fellowship Hall
During these deeply divided times, learn self-awareness and grounding practices that help us to move beyond reflexive reactions and choose responses that align with our values of resisting injustice and taking risks for love. The presentation will be offered by presentation with Rachel Svanoe Moynihan, a local embodiment facilitator from Rachel Joy Somatics.
We also invite the community to visit the Social Justice Library in the Commons to check out racial justice related books for all ages. The team also recommends podcast resources linked below. Look for additional movie screenings and related programming, including a series with David Scherer from the 2023 Intercultural Development Inventory workshop later this spring! Questions?
