April 14: “Nature as Therapy” Watch Gathering & Discussion
Tuesday, April 14 | 7:00-8:30 pm | Nativity Rm 218
Join us for a presentation and discussion on the importance of nature for physical health and mental well-being.
We’ll learn the impact of natural soundscapes on stress, attention, and nervous system regulation. We’ll also examine the difference between being in nature versus with nature for effective eco-healing. Our presenter will be Tara Burns, MA, LPCC, Therapist with Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minnesota.
This event is sponsored by Nativity’s Mental Health Connect in collaboration with the Environment & Sustainability Outreach Team.

April 19: Small Changes, Big Impact: Reducing Household Plastic
Sunday, April 19 | 9:00-10:00 am | Fellowship Hall
Is your recycling bin always full? Are you looking for ways to live more sustainably but don’t know where to start? As part of our commitment to being good stewards of the Earth, the Sustainability Team invites you to an informative session on the “why” and “how” of reducing single-use plastics in our homes and daily routines.

We’ll share easy swaps, DIY tips, and local resources to help you lighten your environmental footprint. Join us as we learn to live more lightly and intentionally. Whether you’re a zero-waste pro or just starting your journey, all are welcome!

April 30: Bulk Shopping Made Simple: A “How-To” Field Trip to TARE Market
Thursday, April 30 | 5:30 pm | Meet at Nativity for Carpooling
Ever felt curious about bulk shopping but weren’t sure where to start? We know that walking into a zero-waste store can feel a little intimidating—from weighing jars to navigating the taps—so let’s learn together! Whether you want to stock up on eco-friendly laundry detergent or just see how the process works, this is a perfect, low-pressure way to explore. Bring some clean containers with you for purchases!

May 17: Rethinking Our Final Footprint: Exploring Earth-Friendly End-of-Life
Sunday, May 17 | 9:00-10:00 am | Fellowship Hall
Most of us are very familiar with traditional end-of-life choices—caskets and vaults or standard cremation. But did you know there are newer, gentler ways to return to the Earth that align with our sustainability goals? Join us for an informative session on green burials with speakers from Interra and Roselawn Cemetery.

Death is something we’ll all face eventually, so why not explore how our final act can be a gift back to the Earth? Come and learn about several more sustainable methods that honor our commitment to creation to make our final transition a truly green one.
