As was announced earlier this year, Nativity’s long-time Business Administrator, Beth Schuman, will be transitioning out of the administrator role this summer as she moves toward retirement. She will remain on staff in a part-time capacity to continue to shepherd us through Building Belonging construction and tie up a few loose ends. We are so grateful for Beth’s business expertise and steady leadership through many seasons at Nativity!
With Beth’s transition, we welcome Nick Waters to the Nativity staff as he moves into the Business Administrator role.
From Nick Waters:
I’m excited to join the team as Nativity’s new Business Administrator!
I’m originally from Southwest England, although I left there a long time ago and have since lived in Liverpool and London, Nairobi, Kenya, and most recently Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where my family spent almost ten years. My wife, son, and our cat Benny moved to Minnesota in 2025, and we’ve enjoyed building a new life in the Twin Cities ever since. I’ve been visiting Minnesota for around 15 years, so while there is still plenty to learn and discover, it already feels familiar. As a family, we enjoy travel, spending time outdoors walking, hiking and biking, and exploring what The Cities has to offer.
I’ve spent most of my career working in nonprofit and mission-driven organizations, many of them Christian, with a focus on service and community. I’ve worked in operations leadership since 2014, and particularly enjoy work that brings together people, strategy, stewardship, facilities, and administration. I find it rewarding to help people, systems, and resources work effectively together and to ensure the practical foundations are in place for organizations to fulfill their mission.
