God of comfort and joy, this has been a year like no other. We have been faced with challenges, losses, and fears. Yet here we are preparing ourselves to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Our celebrations will be different this year. Guide us in the planning of these celebrations. Help us to remember that there is nothing that stands brighter than hope, and your entrance into our world, brings us the light we need. May we turn our eyes and hearts toward your light and embrace all you have for us this season.
