Advocacy Project: Letter Writing for Our Transgender & Gender Diverse Siblings

Nativity celebrates Pride Month and affirms our commitment as a Reconciling in Christ congregation to welcoming and affirming people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. As a RIC congregation—and in keeping with the ELCA’s commitment to the dignity and rights of LGBTQIA+ people—it has never been more important to stand with and advocate for our queer siblings.

Letter Writing to Support Our Transgender Siblings
June 21-22 after all worship hours | Commons

Following worship this weekend, the Pride team is hosting a letter writing campaign responding to two of the many anti-LGBTQIA+ executive orders, agency reports, and proposed bills. The team has everything you need to compose and mail a letter, including scripts you can use or adapt in making your voice heard with your elected officials. Children’s coloring and activity pages focused on love and self-acceptance will also be available at the table.
