Talk About It!
Have fun asking question for all your family members!
What did you eat for breakfast today? What do you like to eat for breakfast? Would you like to eat fish and bread for breakfast? Would you like to eat breakfast with Jesus?
Just like in our story today, we all need reminders! After Jesus died and rose again, he appeared to his disciples to remind them about the work they still needed to do. Jesus reminded his followers that he would always love them and care for them. Jesus showed how much he cared for them by making a surprise breakfast for them.
Dig Deeper: What are some things you need to be reminded about? What are some things that you remind others about? Do you remind people how much you care about them? Do you do this through your words, your actions, or both?
Family Activity Choices
Pick activities to do together! Supplies are provided in our Monthly At-Home Kits you picked up at our drive thru events or ask to have delivered to your home.
Activity: Surprise Breakfast (Lunch, Dinner, or Snack) Show your family how much you care about them by preparing them a surprise meal or snack. You could also offer to help prepare a meal, set the table, or clear the table.
Pray Together
“Dear God, thank you for showing up in so many ways to remind us of your love! Amen.“
Bless Each Other
At the end of your time, give each other a special blessing to remember one of God’s promises.
Look at each other with pretend binoculars with your hands and say “You are a reminder of God’s love!”
