Save the Date: Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Saturday, February 21 | 9:00 am – 2:30 pm | Room 218
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches adults how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18. Learn common signs and symptoms in this age group including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, substance use, suicide, and more.
This workshop is intended for adults—parents, grandparents, educators, and anyone who supports young people. Participants will do a two-hour session of online “pre-work” before the February 21 session. Lunch and snacks will be provided. There is a $25 registration fee with scholarships available. To register or for questions, contact Gail Bergsven at ggantz1@aol.com.
