Jesus did not say “This is my abstract theological concept given to you” but “This is my body given to you.”
With this in mind, how do we metabolize our trauma that lives in our bodies with Jesus as the author of our healing? Particularly for those of us who identify as white, how do we heal our transgenerational trauma to find our identity not in a technology of domination but in God’s liberation project?
