On behalf of our youth, adult leaders, and families, thank you to Nativity for your incredible support of our recent Middle School Service and Learning Trip. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity made this experience possible—and it was truly unforgettable.
Over the course of the week, our group served at a variety of impactful organizations, including:
- Nourishing Hope, The Common Pantry, and Care for Real – Where students helped distribute food and essentials to neighbors in need.
- Cradles to Crayons and Bernie’s Book Bank – Where they sorted and packed items for children and families.
- Evanston Grows – Where they worked in community gardens supporting food justice.
- The Friendship Center – Where they helped with a pet food drive.
- Pilgrim Lutheran Church – Where they tackled maintenance projects like painting, weeding, and clearing space for repairs.
- Feed My Starving Children – Where they packed meals for children around the world.
Beyond the service, we shared moments of spiritual growth, worship, reflection, and a lot of fun. We explored downtown Chicago, celebrated a birthday, jumped waves at the beach, and even crowned a ping-pong champion. Through it all, our youth built deeper relationships with one another and with God.
These trips are more than just a week away—they are faith-shaping experiences that help young people see the world through the lens of compassion, service, and community. Your support helped create a space where they could grow, ask questions, and discover how their faith connects with real-world needs.
