Community Food Resources

Dear Beloved Community,

Nativity’s mission to Love God and Love Neighbor calls us to act when our community faces uncertainty. With SNAP benefits at risk after November 1, we anticipate a surge in food insecurity—and we want to be ready.

Need support?
Below is a list of local food shelves, meal programs, and mobile resources within five miles of Nativity Lutheran Church. Call or email providers before visiting. Questions? Contact Deacon Kyle at Kyle@NativityChurch.org or (612) 388‑7135.

Want to support neighbors?
Our local community food shelf is also gearing up and is in immediate need of volunteers–especially Spanish speaking ones. Also, they have volunteer training opportunities coming up, so time is of the essence. Please email our Little Kitchen Volunteer Coordinators to get started: Tina Wyffels (twyffels@bkbm.com) or Allison Woodwick (allisonwoodwick@gmail.com).

You can also make a financial impact by giving to Nativity and including “food support” in the memo line. We will ensure it goes to a local community partner that can use it to feed a significant number of people.

With love for God and each other, with Christ at the center, let’s do this together.
