It was a week of big fun and big impact!

Last week during Nativity’s Summer Stretch program, 49 middle school youth & 13 high school youth leaders helped pack 2178 pounds of food at Second Harvest Heartland. They bagged enough meals to feed 71 kids for a year at Feed My Starving Children, led Bingo with the Wednesday Morning Bible study, and together made 400 sandwiches for the Groveland Food Shelf.

They also made 200 snack packs for Solid Ground after-school program, colored 100 lunch bags for Meals on Wheels, and wrote 50 Bread for the World letters to Senator Smith to ask our lawmakers to make sure to support programs that fight hunger. They led Chapel Time for the Nativity Child & Family Center preschoolers, helped weed the front walk and garden area at church, and donated 150 lbs. of canned goods for the Little Kitchen Food Shelf! At the end of the week, they enjoyed a well-earned day of fun at Valley Fair!

Thank you to Nativity’s Summer Stretch middle schoolers and leaders for all the ways you made a difference!
