We have been in touch with Lutheran Social Service Safe House Shelter for Homeless Teens. During this time, Safe House will be open 24/7. This expansion of hours and isolation requires more food and entertainment ( things for teens to do while in isolation) for the teens at Safe House.
If you are interested in participating in our effort to respond to these needs, Safe House leadership has specific requests as follows:
- Single packaged foods
chips
Ramen soup cups
Granola bars
Yogurt
Supplemental items
Breakfast cereals
Juices
Bakery goods
Frozen pizzas ( Safe House has freezer space)
Entertainment
Funds to purchase Netflix subscriptions
Funds to purchase subscriptions for magazines ( eg Rolling Stones)
Books/ novels that teens would enjoy
Puzzles
Note: they have a lot of board games – none needed
If you are interested in participating by contributing items above or making a financial contribution: we will be parked outside Nativity Lutheran Church from 1:00pm – 2:00pm ongoing, every Friday.
You can drop off items or contributions at that time.
Checks should be written to Nativity Lutheran Church with Safe House in the memo line. You can also contribute via Venmo (@NativityLutheran) noting Safe House.
