Club 56

Club 56 is Faith Formation for 5th and 6th graders.

New students and families are always welcome!

Our Club 56 gatherings together will look different depending on the week, COVID-19 recommendations and weather. Please look at our calendar posted below as this will tell you what you need to know about our gatherings!

A typical Club 56 gathering will include learning & growing together through explorations of Bible stories, spiritual practices, social justice topics, intentional conversations, and other forms of creative experiences.

The focus of Club 56 is to explore God’s story throughout the Bible and how God’s story is continuing through and with us. For the 2020-21 school year, we will be digging deep into the stories of the Old Testament.

Club 56 participants can expect to feel safe and welcomed into the group whether they participate once, once a month or every gathering!

Information about our In-Person Gatherings:

  • We will practice social distancing, mask wearing and will not be sharing supplies.
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather!
  • Please use the bathroom before you arrive, we will only be able to enter the church for an emergency situation.

Information about our Zoom Gatherings:

  • Be ready to participate!
  • Please keep your camera on so that we can engage as a whole group. If you need to leave the room for a minute or if your internet is bad, you can turn off your video.
  • Keep yourself on mute until you are ready to speak.
  • Please be appropriate with your virtual backgrounds, words and actions.

“I love learning about the different stories in the Bible and am so excited to continue this exploration with the 5th & 6th graders of Nativity! Besides working with the 5th and 6th graders at Nativity, I also serve as the Associate Director of Luther Park, the Bible Camp that Nativity has had a long partnership with. During the summer, I live at the camp in Danbury, WI and spend the summer doing all the fun camp activities with the campers, families and young adult staff. During the school year, I work remotely preparing for the next summer camp year from home here in the Twin Cities, which allows me to do work with Nativity families. Spending time in God’s Creation, hanging out with my family/friends and finding a new house project or hobby project to work on are some of my favorite things to do!”

Faith Milestones:
Families of Faith: “Discover Communion” (led by Pastor Ben Schori)

“Discover Communion” is a series of classes that explore how Jesus changed the Passover meal, or Last Supper, to give us Holy Communion. Drama, games, matzo baking and crafts culminate in a Seder Meal for Christians, followed by a communion celebration on Maundy Thursday. This class meets the three Sundays before Easter; the Seder Meal and Maundy Thursday take place the Wednesday and Thursday before Easter. For kids grades 2-5 and their families.
To register please call or email Pastor Ben Schori at 612-781-2766 ext. 1010.
