As we gather every day into community…
All eyes remain on the city of Minneapolis as the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former officer charged in the killing of George Floyd, continues. As the second week of judicial proceedings pauses until Monday, we continue to meet each morning under the Healing Our City Virtual Prayer Tent for reflection, prayer, and beloved community. We pray especially for the family of George Floyd, those who have testified or will testify, Judge Cahill, the jurors, and anyone who is involved with and/or traumatized by this tragedy and trial.
Join us all week at 8:00 AM Central Time for this approximately 20- minute prayer experience which begins with a timely reflection by a different spiritual leader each day. The reflection is followed by a period of 9 minutes and 29 seconds of silent prayer/meditation. We close with music and an invitation to offer your own prayers and thoughts in writing.
