DESCRIPTION:This growth group explores the scriptures by asking questions\, looking at current scholarship\, imagining life in ancient times\, and wondering how the Bible is relevant to life and faith today. Several weeks are spent with a specific book such as Life Lessons from Luke\, by Max Lucado; Which Way\, Lord: Exploring Life’s Purpose in the Journeys of Paul\, by Rob Fuquay; and Introducing the New Testament\, by Rev. Anne Robertson. The group is conversational\, and laughter is a valued part of the experience. \nThe group meets every Wednesday\, from 10:00-11:30 am. All are welcome. DESCRIPTION:A generous\, anonymous donor has offered to cover the cost of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) for our community\, allowing anyone at Nativity\, 15 years old and above\, to take the assessment free of charge. We want our collective IDI results to be representative of our Nativity community\, and we’re looking to boost participation in the free community opportunity! \nYou can take the IDI through April 10th and then join us for a “Results Reveal” lunch on Sunday\, April 16th\, from 11:30-1:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. World-class performance artists Joe Davis & David Scherer from JUSTmove: Antiracism Education Through the Arts will share our collective IDI results and facilitate discussion about why they matter and where we can go from here as a community. \nWe’ll also offer activities for children during that time. DESCRIPTION:This growth group explores the scriptures by asking questions\, looking at current scholarship\, imagining life in ancient times\, and wondering how the Bible is relevant to life and faith today. Several weeks are spent with a specific book such as Life Lessons from Luke\, by Max Lucado; Which Way\, Lord: Exploring Life’s Purpose in the Journeys of Paul\, by Rob Fuquay; and Introducing the New Testament\, by Rev. Anne Robertson. The group is conversational\, and laughter is a valued part of the experience. \nThe group meets every Wednesday\, from 10:00-11:30 am. All are welcome. Two options are available\, Zoom and in person in the Commons. The facilitator is Pat Hendricks\, spiritual director and Nativity’s Coordinator of Vital Aging and Adult Faith Formation.
