DESCRIPTION:Nativity will be offering a Blessing of the Animals on Saturday\, Oct. 1st\, and a special Time with Children on Sunday\, Oct. 2nd. \nJoin us Saturday\, October 1st\, for our annual Blessing of the Animals\, when we take time to bless the beloved animal companions in our lives. We invite you to bring your pets to church after the Saturday 5:30 pm worship. Stuffies and pet photos are also welcome for the blessing! We’ll gather in the Sanctuary for a short message\, fun music\, and animal blessings. \nOn Sunday morning\, Oct. 2\, we’ll be devoting Time with Children to the blessing theme. Children are invited to bring their stuffies and/or pictures of their pets. Parents can also come forward with their children and bring their phones with pictures of their pets for a thanksgiving and blessing.

SUMMARY:Packing Event for Global Outreach
DESCRIPTION:The Global Outreach ministry group is requesting donations of girls’ panties that will be part of sanitary hygiene kits to be sent to girls in both Kenya and Nicaragua. \nWe’re looking for girls’ underwear\, sizes 8-14 (no women’s sizes)\, brief style (no bikini or boy cut)\, preferably in darker colors. We hope to collect 500 pairs for the kits. Donations can be brought to the church during worship hours. \nThere will be a packing event on Monday\, Oct. 3\, in the Fellowship Hall from 6:00-8:30 pm. All are welcome to join us! Volunteers will perform both sewing and non-sewing tasks for the kits. \nWant to learn more about this project or Global Outreach ministries at Nativity? Stop by the table in the Commons before and after worship this weekend. This project is a collaboration between Global Outreach and the Nativity Women in Action.

DESCRIPTION:Nativity Council would like to provide an additional opportunity for the congregation to ask questions and provide feedback prior to our upcoming vote (February 2023) to update Nativity’s constitution. An earlier session was held in April of this year. \nOn Sunday\, November 13\, at 10:00 am\, Council members will share proposed changes to the Nativity Constitution based on the ELCA proposed model Constitution in 2020 and 2021.
