DESCRIPTION:This 6 week evening series is offered each fall and spring at various churches in our area. The sessions are once a week from 6:45-9:00 PM. The fall series begins in person\, Monday\, September 13th at St. Philips Lutheran Church in Fridley. The series ends on October 18th. You can attend all or just some of the sessions. The format includes a presentation on an aspect of the grieving process\, followed by small group sessions with people of similar losses such as loss of a spouse\, parent\, friend\, relationship. I highly recommend this series. There is no cost\, but donations are accepted. We also offer gratitude for our time and talents—and for the people in our lives who help us better offer these in service to the world. \nFor this Thanksgiving Eve worship service\, we’ll lift up the people who have been significant to us in this way. We’ll celebrate the mentors who have taught\, guided\, and supported us\, showing us who we are capable of being\, as well as those who have modeled courage\, integrity\, and faith for us\, inspiring us to live bigger\, more generous lives. \nIn celebrating mentorship\, we’ll bring the contemplative and connective power of storytelling to our worship. Members of the Nativity community will share stories about significant models and mentors who have both guided their paths and deepened their faith. We welcome you to join us in person or online for this Thanksgiving Eve service.
