DESCRIPTION:In the spirit of “Love God\, Love Neighbor\,” Nativity continues to strengthen our growing relationship with Redeemer Lutheran in North Minneapolis\, and this summer offers some fun opportunities to gather and connect! \nRedeemer is hosting a series of summer cookouts in their own backyard\, and Nativity will be collaborating to provide meal support and other volunteer help. Everyone at Nativity is invited each Wednesday 6:00-8:00 pm to come enjoy great food and good fellowship\, AND we’re looking for volunteers who can help make two events a welcoming success! \nJune 28th Nativity-Hosted Meal\nOn June 28th Nativity will host the Wednesday meal at Redeemer! We’ll provide pulled pork sandwiches\, and we’re looking for volunteers who can bring sides to share like salads\, fruit\, veggies and drinks. We’re planning for 50 people that night. The problems we face are theological\, not sociological\, and he offers a bold new vision for our ELCA denomination. \nYou can find a copy through the Augsburg Fortress or on Amazon. \nGroups will meet for one hour\, once a week for six to seven weeks. DESCRIPTION:We support Lutheran Social Services efforts such as Camp Noah\, Camp Knutson\, and Metro Homeless Youth Programs. Our meetings include social time\, devotions\, treats\, and projects such as tying fleece blankets and gathering Christmas gifts for those in need in our various programs. DESCRIPTION:We are going for record-breaking participation this year! Please join us in showing our community pride!\nWe will enjoy hot dogs and beverages at Nativity at 5:00pm before we leave to walk in the parade\, which starts at 7:00pm.\nPlease sign up at the table in the Commons this weekend to walk\, ride\, or volunteer for this year’s event. There will be a table in the Commons during all worship services through July 28th.
