SUMMARY:September is Homelessness Community Outreach Month at Nativity
DESCRIPTION:The Homelessness Community Outreach Team recognizes and responds to the reality that many people are unable to acquire and maintain regular safe and adequate housing.\nThroughout September there will be opportunities for our Nativity Community to get involved in hands-on activities as well as learn more about the issues related to homelessness.\nThe calendar of events is as follows: \n\nSeptember 1-2: Kick Off of Homelessness Community Outreach month. Make a meal sign up along with Metro Homeless Youth\, People Serving People and Dignity Center materials available in Commons. Collection of items for God’s Work Our Hands events.\nSeptember 8-9: God’s Work Our Hands with 2 projects. (See details here: www.nativitychurch.org/event/gods-work-our-hands/)\nSeptember 8-9: People Serving People Baby Shower\nSeptember 15-16: People Serving People Baby Shower\nSeptember 19: Wednesday night meal with Homelessness theme\nSeptember 21: Dignity Center concert with JD Steel\nSeptember 22: Lutheran Social Service (LSS) Gala (See details here: www.nativitychurch.org/event/2018-celebration-for-changing-lives/)\nSeptember 22-23: Dignity Center guests and materials in the Commons\nSeptember 29-30: LSS Metro Homeless Youth guests and materials in the Commons\n\nThe Homelessness Outreach Team is part of the Nativity Community Outreach Teams.
