Passion for Parenting: Not Perfect, but Real
This series of six classes is intended for parents of children ages 7-12. Key topics to discuss will be decided by the group at the first class. Co-facilitators Brian Bradway and Andrew Carlson are dads that have kids in this age range and have experience in Love and Logic ™ techniques of helping kids become responsible and experience the consequences of their choices in a loving and safe environment. By the end of the classes, parents can expect to have new strategies for parenting now and in the coming years, greater understanding about their child’s development, and increased empowerment and confidence. Grandparents or other caregivers/guardians are encouraged to attend as well.
Andrew Carlson is an enthusiastic co-parent of two girls (8 & 11), a life-long learner, ardent geek, recovering musician, aspiring entrepreneur, manager of expectations and mender of broken things. He credits, among other things, 7 years of experience with Love & Logic for what even his kids would admit is a strong, loving relationship.[hr]
Brian Bradway is a Physician Assistant, husband of nearly 20 years, and Dad of two kids ages 11 and 8. Over the last decade, he’s balanced parenthood with other changes in his life, which included going back to medical school to switch careers. He has been using Love and Logic techniques for over 7 years.
