Your story + a turn table = Vinyl ChurchMusic is powerful. So is sharing our stories. Together, story and song help us remember our shared humanity – the painful and beautiful messiness of it all. Vinyl Church is an open mic storytelling experience where we pair songs with the stories of our lives. Join Mike Rusert of Intertwine Northeast in creating Vinyl Church at Nativity for Nativity… on August 12 at 10am. Our theme for the morning is… Bring your story and your vinyl (we can play digital tracks too, no judgment), and let’s give it a spin together!
Vinyl Church is an open mic storytelling experience. Anyone can share a story and song, no need to sign up in advance. In fact, some people get inspired half way through the event though they never anticipated sharing. But for those of you who want to think it through in advance, bring a story from your life – one of those times you really felt alive, or a time where you failed utterly yet lived another day, or a time when you were caught up in awe and surprise. Really any story from your life. And maybe there’s a song or chorus that is connected to your story or highlights the punchline… We’ll play a portion of the song with your story.
