ALL SAINTS WEEKEND
The Faith Community of Nativity strives to support all those in their journey of grief by remembering you and your loved one in prayer near the anniversary of their death. We do this for the first three years, more if you request us to do so. We also remember loved ones with a special prayer liturgy on All Saints weekend, this year November 2 & 3.
Besides All Saints weekend, we offer a service of remembrance as part of our Christmas season. On Saturday December 7, 2019 our 5:30pm worship will focus on remembering loved ones and finding comfort, strength and hope. We know that during the Christmas holidays, emotions are close to the surface. The service of remembrance on December 7 will help to honor our loved one and our grief.
Please consider attending one of the worship hours, Saturday 5:30pm or Sunday 8:00, 9:00, or 10:30am, All Saints weekend and the Service of Remembrance December 7, 2019 5:30pm with the hope that Nativity’s “remembrance” will bring you further comfort.
Nativity will offer two ways of honoring our loved ones on All Saints Weekend.
On Saturday at 5:30pm and Sunday at 10:30am we will give A Concert of Remembrance. The Nativity choir, soloists Carol Hofstad and Gabe Hanson and a guest chamber orchestra will honor our loved ones with the beauty of Requiem by Gabriel Faure. Each musical section will be introduced by scripture. On Sunday at 8am and 9am, we will have our regular worship services.
At all services we will remember our loved ones with a candle lighting ceremony. With the tolling of a bell, we remember members of the Nativity community who have died in the past year.
All are welcome.
