Senior Pastor Glenn Seefeldt
I came to Nativity in March of 1981. My wife, Cheryl, and I live in St. Anthony Village where we raised two daughters, Kristin and Elizabeth. We share our empty nest with a long-haired dachshund named Willy. Kristin died in 2005. Elizabeth is married to Mark Kimble and they have one child, Charlotte. They live in Northeast Minneapolis.
I was raised in rural Wisconsin about 45 miles north of Milwaukee near Kewaskum, where dairy farms dotted the landscape. After graduating from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, Cheryl and I married and moved to St. Louis, Missouri where I attended Christ Seminary – Seminex. An internship (student pastor) brought us to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota where we fell in love with the state and its people.
Nativity Lutheran Church, St. Anthony Village, MN called me to serve as assistant to Pastor Gerald Hoffman in March of 1981, and I was ordained in February of 1982, becoming an Associate Pastor. On February 1, 2000, Nativity called me to serve as senior pastor.
I love serving my Lord Jesus and His church. The world and its people need what God has to offer and I feel privileged and humbled with the task of bringing it to the world. Nativity is an energetic, innovative community with a heart for service.
My wife and I love to walk and enjoy the outdoors and garden together. Cheryl worked as a registered nurse for many years but is now following her passion for cooking and caring for our granddaughter two days a week.

Pastor Ben Schori
I was called to Nativity in the fall of 2017 to serve as the Pastor of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries. I am married to my wife, Melissa, and we have two daughters: Johanna, born in 2016, and Isla, born in 2018. We also have a mini Australian Shepherd named Layla.
Melissa and I are natives of the Twin Cities, and grew up in Eagan where we met at our home Lutheran church. We both attended Luther College in Decorah, IA where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Just a few months after graduating, I began my coursework at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul. For a year during seminary, I served as the Intern Pastor at Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Vista, AZ. I graduated from Luther Seminary in 2014, earning a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry.
For my first call, I served as the Pastor of First Lutheran Church of Hibbing, MN. I served the good people of First Lutheran and the greater Iron Range community for over three years, before God’s call lead me to Nativity.
I have a passion for preaching and leading worship. I especially feel called to share a message that comforts the listener with the gift of God’s grace, while also challenging them to more genuinely and generously respond to that grace in life. I also have a strong passion for youth ministry. I believe that youth are not only the future of the church, but are a vital part of the church today. I love nurturing, challenging, and encouraging youth as they work to develop and grow their faith.
I love being a pastor of the ELCA. I love Star Wars and superheroes, and am a self-identified geek. I love being active. I love my family and friends. And, as an extrovert, I love meeting new people and having great conversations. So, please don’t hesitate to come say “Hello” because it will probably make my day.
