Senior Pastor Glenn Seefeldt
I came to Nativity in March of 1981. My wife, Cheryl, and I live in St. Anthony Village where we raised two daughters, Kristin and Elizabeth. We share our empty nest with a long-haired dachshund named Willy. Kristin died in 2005. Elizabeth is married to Mark Kimble and they have one child, Charlotte. They live in Northeast Minneapolis.
I was raised in rural Wisconsin about 45 miles north of Milwaukee near Kewaskum, where dairy farms dotted the landscape. After graduating from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, Cheryl and I married and moved to St. Louis, Missouri where I attended Christ Seminary – Seminex. An internship (student pastor) brought us to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota where we fell in love with the state and its people.
Nativity Lutheran Church, St. Anthony Village, MN called me to serve as assistant to Pastor Gerald Hoffman in March of 1981, and I was ordained in February of 1982, becoming an Associate Pastor. On February 1, 2000, Nativity called me to serve as senior pastor.
I love serving my Lord Jesus and His church. The world and its people need what God has to offer and I feel privileged and humbled with the task of bringing it to the world. Nativity is an energetic, innovative community with a heart for service.
My wife and I love to walk and enjoy the outdoors and garden together. Cheryl worked as a registered nurse for many years but is now following her passion for cooking and caring for our granddaughter two days a week.

Pastor Dan Doerrer
Dan and his wife Lynn first came through the doors of Nativity on New Year’s Eve 2000, and they immediately felt at home. The music, message, hospitality, openness and vitality prompted them to return; however, Dan never imagined that one day this would be his workplace. At the time, Dan served as a theology instructor and theatre arts coordinator at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, and his practice of Christianity was rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition. Over time, Dan’s family became members of Nativity, and Dan became involved with youth ministry and adult faith formation activities here. Dan became a pastor at Nativity in July of 2010. Dan’s family is a source of deep love, support and friendship. He is inspired by the example of ministry his wife Lynn offers him through her work with children and families as a special education guide. Dan is a fan of theater and baseball, and he especially enjoys watching his kids perform in these arenas.
