We’re going to the ELCA YOUTH GATHERING!
June 27-July 2, 2027 in Minneapolis!
- Imagine being part of one of the biggest faith-filled events in the country without packing for a flight, surviving endless long van ride, or arguing over gas station snack choices. That’s exactly what makes the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering so special for us… it’s happening right here in Minneapolis!
- Every three years, thousands of Lutheran high school students from across the United States and around the world gather for an unforgettable week of worship, service, learning, music, friendship, and fun. Picture giant worship experiences, inspiring speakers, hands-on service projects, late-night laughs with friends, and memories you’ll be talking about long after graduation. Imagine gathering with tens of thousands of young people for worship in U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Vikings. It is truly a goosebump-inducing experience that you’ll never forget!
- And let’s be honest… we have a pretty sweet deal this year 😉 We’ll be just going down the road, checking into a downtown Minneapolis hotel, exploring our own city, and sleeping in an actual bed every night! Plus, we get the unique opportunity to be hosts! Youth from around the country will be visiting our backyard, and we get to show them Minnesota is amazing, Minneapolis is welcoming, and yes, we’re way nicer than our stereotypes on the news.

- We’d love to get an initial idea of who is interested by October 18 so we can sign up for “Priority” (learn more about that at the meeting, aka we can request a hotel with a pool 🙂)
- Estimated cost is $900 per participant. We’ll be planning some extra fundraisers to get the congregation excited about the Gathering being in our hometown! (Scholarships are available, we never want cost to stop youth from getting to be part of these amazing experiences.)
- Parents – Let me know if you’re interested in being an Adult Leader (no driving vans and you get your own hotel bed!)
- It will be a chance to grow in faith, make new friends, experience incredible worship, and be part of something bigger than yourself! We hope you’ll consider joining us for what promises to be an unforgettable week!
