Have people affirmed you as a genuinely caring person? Are you interested in acquiring and/or improving your listening skills? Would you like to learn how to deal more effectively with a crisis? Interested in learning more about dealing with feelings? Do you enjoy helping others?
If you answered yes to three or more of the above questions, then you are a candidate for the Pastoral Care Team–Stephen Ministry.
Stephen Ministers are trained in para-pastoral care skills and they provide long-term, one-on-one caring support. The program equips people to carry on God’s ministry of caring and healing. Our Congregation’s Stephen Ministry program is known nationally for its quality training and care. Our Stephen leaders are often asked to consult with other congregations.

Stephen Ministry involves 10-12 hours per month of volunteer time.
